Trip Overview
The Karnali river is Nepal’s largest river. Rafting in this river in the far-west of Nepal gives you an opportunity to explore remote villages and culture, magnificent views of the Himalayas and the unspoilt forests of Nepal. The trip starts in Sauli and ends at Chisapani. This trip gives you an opportunity to go to Royal Bardia National Park for wildlife safari since Chisapani is near to the park.
Day to Day Itinerary
Drive from Kathmandu to Surkhet.
Drive from Surkhet to the put-in point, Sauli via local villages and splendid scenery. Start rafting.
After breakfast, raft through some continuous rapids.
After breakfast, begin rafting. Today we enter the jungle where the river narrows and forms more like a gorge.
Rafting today will be similar to previous days.
Today is yet another day of great action and breath taking scenery.
The rapids slowly start dying off as we come out of the gorge and come to where the river merges with the Seti River and broadens.
Early afternoon, we end our river trip and lunch at Chisapani Bridge. Drive back to Kathmandu.
