Jomsom Muktinath trek being the famous pilgrimage trek in Nepal lies in Annapurna region of north western Nepal. Being pilgrimage trek, Jomsom Muktinath trek offers the best of Annapurna Himalayan ranges, Dhaulagiri and others passing through the world’s deepest Kaligandaki gorges followed by cultural exploration of local inhabitants. We embark for the 10 days of Jomsom Muktinath trek after arriving at Kathmandu valley followed by travelling to scenic lake city Pokhara on tourist coach next day. During the starting days, we will be flying towards Jomsom and then trek to Marpha, Kagbeni and Muktinath. While passing through the world’s deepest Kaligandaki gorges on the way to Jomsom, we will witness the spectacular views of snow capped mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Maachapuchre. Also visit to monasteries gives an insight to local tradition and cultures. In the lower region we will discover mainly the Gurungs while on the highlands of Muktinath and Jomsom, the Tibetan influenced Buddhism is reflected. Muktinath being the pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists, it attracts number of pilgrims from all around the world. Jomsom is famous for the apple products and brandy which we will taste of course on our way. Finally we conclude our Jomsom Muktinath trek after driving back to Kathmandu from Pokhara and sightseeing around the UNESCO world heritage sites.
