Gokyo cho la pass Everest base camp trek is initiated next day after your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport followed by completion of required trekking preparation and briefing. Then we will board a flight to Lukla form Kathmandu and trek towards Phakding. Passing through the Sagarmatha National Park, the green rhododendron forests, fresh atmosphere, rivers and waterfalls along the floras and faunas will captivate us in its natural beauty. After arriving at the Namche bazaar, a traditional hub we take an insight to Sherpa culture and lifestyle. Further we ascend towards Dole and Machhermo to cross the Gokyo valley and reach Gokyo ri peak at an altitude of 5360meter. The unique turquoise gokyo lake (frozen in winter) is another major attraction of this trip. The scenery from here can’t be explained in words. Descending back to gokyo we head towards Cho la pass at an altitude of 5388m followed by Lobuche, Gorakshep and Everest Base camp. After being there at Everest base camp, the feeling of delight and accomplishment keeps bursting in us. Then while returning, we hike towards Kalapathhar, an amazing and one n only place that exhibits the best views of mountains in Everest region. In our next trekking days we descend down to Pheriche, Tengboche, Namche and Lukla. We take a return flight to Kathmandu and go for the sightseeing around Kathmandu valley next day.
